Today marks the beginning of Fonts.com’s three-day, 2016 Type Through the Eras event. Typefaces often reflect the musings of their designer, a sense of the era in which they are drawn, and the tools used to create them. There are scores of these instances, or eras, adding to the rich tapestry of typographic history.

2016’s Type Through the Eras collection takes three of these occurrences and curates typefaces that pay homage to, or are suggestive of, a typographic time or mindset. The 2016 eras range from sensual Art Nouveau designs, to typefaces that would fit right in to the cover of a salacious pulp novel, to designs that enable typographically iconoclastic Dada-like statements. Each day will feature a new Era. Tuesday will be devoted to Art Nouveau display designs like Raphael™ and Arnold Boecklin™ and complete Art Nouveau inspired families like Atelier™ and ITC Barcelona™—plus a bevy of others. Discount prices start as low as $19.00.

Wednesday, designs like Flamme™, Flash®,  ITC Highlander®, and Mantika Sans™ family (featured below) will be added to the Type Through the Eras promotion. These, and the rest of the Type Through the Eras pulp collection are perfect designs to add a bit of pulp typography’s panache to your next project.
