Vikki Quick runs Public Relations for Monotype Imaging. Her background includes positions in marketing, marketing communications and trade show management for companies that serve the printing and publishing industries. She has also written freelance articles for printing and design magazines. Vikki’s first job out of college was as a sportswriter for the Chico Enterprise-Record. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Chico.

Vikki considers the Arial® typeface as her favorite. “I don’t care that it’s a system font,” she says. “And no matter its reputation, Arial is perfectly suited for everyday communication when your No. 1 care is the essence of your messages. I’ll take Arial any day. It was also designed by one of the nicest, most genuine individuals in the business, Robin Nicholas, who heads our typeface design group in our UK office.”
